2. Send your best photo of your framed piece to tstoutframed@gmail.com (high quality photos recommended)

3. Photo will be uploaded to the tstout framed flickr page under frame up contest album.

4. Deadline for photo submission is January 1st, 2017.

4. Winners will be selected by my friend Rene Conde, who organized this entire thing and runs the aforementioned Flickr page. Prizes include....*drumroll*

2017 Lunar Calendar / sticker set sale

I've done a Lunar Calendar a few years in a row now, and have always enjoyed it, so i thought i'd do it again.
If you're interested in purchasing one, please go here. Each calendar will come with a Fantastic Mr Fox handbill. I'm not limiting people on the amount of calendars they can order, but please don't feel like you have to order a bunch to get all the handbills, you could just end up receiving a bunch of the same handbill, no guarantee they will be different. we'll try to avoid repeat handbills as best as we can.
These are printing this week, so the presale will only be for a few days. Once we get them, we'll be shipping as quickly as possible, but if you're hoping to have these by Christmas, we can't promise that, apologies. I can do a little certificate for people to print out if they want to give that as a gift, if that is something people desire. drop me an email if that's the case.

I also have some stickerpacks available, mostly ones that have come out this year, have to move them before getting new ones printed.
Also available, my little creature sticker packs, if you're into that sorta thing. each sticker pack will have at least 5 stickers.

these will all be shipping together, but will not be shipping with the Fantastic Mr Fox posters, if you should happen to purchase one of those. if you do purchase one of those and live overseas, drop us a note and we can try to combine shipping, since overseas shipping is ridiculously expensive. it will however delay the arrival of you fantastic mr fox print.

so, that's it, thanks for looking and my best to you and your pets. (unless you don't have pets, in which case i will mail you a dog).

letterpress / screenprinted handbill sale

update:
looks like things have sold out, appreciate all the orders, apologies on not having more of some prints. thanks again.
------------------------------------

so, i have a few items for sale, a letterpress piece and a screenprinted piece. both 7"x10", so not huge, but sometimes people like things on the smaller size, spiders for instance. or student loans. invading hordes. etc.

heres a link to the store, for those who want to skip the descriptors. descriptions?

i did a piece between projects that i had letterpressed by the print shop Studio On Fire. i was interested in trying them out and this piece is the result. its 7"x10" on cream paper, i'm limiting people to one per person unless i have left over pieces tomorrow then i'll open it up and let people order multiple copies. you'll also have some stickers included with each order, if you're into stickers. even if you're not actually into stickers, they will still be included.

secondly, i did a screenprinted piece for hi-def ninja's booth at mondocon, printed by Broken Press screenprinting, who did a lovely job on these. 7"x10" on cream paper and come with a couple stickers as well. again, limiting people to one per person but if they are still around in a day i'll let people order multiple copies. there are two versions, a regular gold metallic version and a copper metallic variant, which will be mixed in randomly with orders.

so, that's about it. i have another poster on the horizon so if you're on my mailing list, you'll get a note about that in a few weeks or so.

Edit: sale is closed, appreciate all the orders, we'll be packing them up this week and hopefully you start seeing them mid-next week. thanks again.

greetings. i have some prints for sale and if you're interested, read on for more details.
if you are not interested....i mean....i really got nothing else going on here.
so, for those of you interested, i'll have my 2016 Phish / St Paul show poster for sale. Limit One per Person.

i'll also have copies of both my flight of the conchords prints for sale, these are variants from the actual show poster, so you'll notice they look different than the ones you saw at the show. if you were at the show. Limit One per Person, though you can buy one of each if you want.

BIG NOTE: if you purchase something, then go back and purchase another thing later, drop us a note and we'll combine shipping, since these will ship together.

ADDITIONAL EDIT: if you purchased only a smaller print like East Panzer or Linephant, and you live somewhere other than the USA, drop me an email. your shipping might be less. i assumed those would be purchased with bigger prints but obviously i forgot that people could buy them just by themselves.

Stickerpack sale info

hello. this is a post about some sticker packs i have for sale. i am limiting people to 1 stickerpack of each of the first two options, unless they don't sell out, then i'll open it up later for additional orders.

OPTION ONE: theres a few options to choose from. one stickerpack includes a small letterpress piece i had printed by Adventure Storeys, turned out pretty nice. as with a lot of handprinted letterpress pieces, you can see the different depths in the paper, a nicely textured piece.

OPTION B: if you're not into letterpress and are more into 'a myriad of small stickers', then the stickersheet option is a better choice, it includes a 5x7 space themed stickersheet that has quite a number of small stickers you can stick anywhere. lord knows i have. both stickerpacks also include 5 random stickers, most of which are new to tstout.com.

OPTION III: lastly, if you're into the unknown (or if the other two sell out) - you can pick up the random preorder stickerpack. these will include some stickers that haven't printed, so its a bit of a gamble, you might get something really terrible. or something great! or more likely, something average with what you'd expect from tstout.com  THESE stickerpacks are shipping separately, thus the separate shipping charge. i don't want to hold up the other orders, which will ship next week i hope. these could take 4 weeks to ship (i hope not).

so, that's it, thanks for the support and hope to have some actual posters for sale in the future!

Ween poster sale / Explosions in the sky poster sale

hi, just a heads up if you're interested in purchasing either my Ween or Explosions in the Sky poster, xx - link removed, posters sold out - xx

couple of things.
you can purchase a ween poster and an explosion poster, if you want, but not multiple copies of both. also we're only letting people purchase one colorway of the explosions in the sky poster total. multiple copies will be refunded.

a bit about the posters - the ween poster was commissioned by ween for their february 12-14th, 2016 show. its 12x24, 5 color screenprint. it might only look like 4 but the paper itself is actually tinted to look like a dollar bills paper.

on the explosions in the sky poster - its 18x24, 4 color screenprint. two different colorways, one for each show. it was commissioned by explosions in the sky for their march 25th, 2016 shows.

so that's it, these should be shipping within the next week or so. they're all signed and numbered, the ween poster is an edition of 150 (though the band got some of copies of this colorway as well) and the explosions in the sky are numbered out of 50, but the bands copies are not numbered so my edition is out of 50 but the unnumbered ones are in addition to that.

thanks again,
best

2016 Charity Auction results

Greetings, this is a followup to this charity auction that many of you participated in awhile back. Figured I'd post the results.

Preamble: Living near Portland, Oregon, we got a lotta bums. Homeless people they call 'em nowdays. Beggars. Growing up with em, its easy to block 'em out. "Don't give em anything, they'll just spend it on booze and drugs."

Recently my kids noticed these folks standing at intersections with signs, asking for money. My kids asked Sarah (my wife) why we weren't helping them, they were clearly asking for help, and I guess at some point, in raising our kids, we made the mistake of telling them you should help those that need help. So that kinda spurred this on, doing something as a family to help others, helping our kids understand charity and giving to those that have fallen on hard times.

So, with that in mind, we came up with this idea. In our research we came across Open House Ministries, and in conjunction with them, HOPE (Homeless Outreach Program Education). We visited the facilities, liked what we saw, and asked what their needs were. Open House and HOPE are right next to each other and share the same facilities. Open House Ministries minister to homeless families, they take them in, house them for a year, put them in a program that helps them get their degrees, work with Clark Community College (my alma mater, class of '98). Their facilities include a bike shop, coffee shop and thrift store that employ residents of Open House, and once they're through the program Open House Ministries helps them transition to the next step up in housing. Its pretty encouraging and makes a big impact on the Vancouver area that I live in.

In talking with Open House, they recommended we also talk to HOPE, which is located in their facilities. HOPE reaches out to the homeless youth in our community. Sarah has the numbers, but they currently have something like 800 youth in their program, providing tutoring, school materials and even living materials like sleeping bags that young people need and might not have access to.

So, once the money was raised, once the goal was set on what was needed, we purchased locally and online and accumulated a bunch of stuff that took up my entire studio. Talk about a huge hassle. But hey, its for a good cause so I put up with it. I'm a saint, i know, i know. really i'm just taking precautions in case i end up homeless someday.

So, with that all in mind, we began to put it into action. First, Sarah made a trip first to Fred Meyers (local food conglomerate) and purchased some goods, canned food and diapers and whatnot, just as kinda a test run with the kids.
the way Open House is setup, they have a store within their facility that residents can 'shop' at during the week, free of charge. So we purchased items they go through a lot of, food and diapers and toilet paper etc. When we dropped it off the kids were able to stock the shelves, which is kinda a neat illustration of seeing how things work. Plus free child labor, can't argue with that.

then today we made the main run, two vans loaded to the gills with necessities and life's little luxuries that warm peoples hearts.

pictures include: the items in question, the unloading, the family, the dropoff. thanks to my red headed sister Andrea and my dad Steve Stout who are always both ready to lend a hand. my main gift is supervising, so its nice to have people with actual moving skills and 'muscle tone' to do the dirty work. i didn't get this body by abusing it, as i like to tell sarah.

lastly, heres an item list that includes what we delivered. it doesn't include the first delivery of about 500 bucks in grocery items, but it is a nice list of what some of the needs are of homeless shelters, especially homeless youth.
so that's it. pat on the backs all around, appreciate all involved, appreciate people's generosity, appreciate my families help and appreciate Open House Ministries and HOPE for letting is be a part of their mission, if even for just a day. it definitely makes you dwell on what's important in your life, and i'm grateful for the opportunities i've had in my career that make something like this possible.

in conclusion, hopefully i gave a good accounting of this particular fundraiser and please email me with any questions or concerns if i left anything out. i'll have sarah read this and might update it, if i misspoke or misrepresented any factoids.

thanks again - tyler and the stouts
ps - sarah had some kids helping with the grocery shopping, i do not have 11 kids.

Stickers / Calendars / Avenger poster

hello and good afternoon. i have a few bits and bobs for sale, read on if you're interested.

-2016 lunar calendar. a few people emailed me asking if i was going to do one, so finally i did. i actually am a bit late, not too many calendars for sale in january for some reason. this is a presale, so these will print next week and ship in a few weeks. Presales will last through this Friday. here it be.

you can pick one up here.

-stickerpack. while i don't really have any new stickers per say, i still have old ones to move. but perhaps they're only old to me, and new to you?

if so, you can pick up one here. if you purchase with the calendar, the shipping will be a bit delayed.

-Avengers Cast and Crew variant charity auction.
last year (so long ago) i did a poster for avengers: age of ultron. i received some cast and crew variants, and figured i'd auction them off for charity. just to keep things all above board, i've asked my friend Bryan to help run the auction, he'll be verifying the high bids and just making sure its all above board.

how it works:
- email your high bid to - removed due to auction ending - bids must go to this address.

- bryan will verify that all bids are real, and i'll update the highest bids periodically here

- the top 5 bids will win a poster, since i'm auctioning off 5 copies of this poster.

- all proceeds will go towards a homeless shelter Sarah and i visited this past month called Open House Ministries. while some of you might not be keen on the religious association, we checked them out and they are legit, they help families get off the streets, putting them in an apartment, helping them find work and education. a hand up instead of a hand out, as they say. they also run a thrift store, coffee shop and bike shop run by volunteers, all proceeds going towards helping the homeless. all in all, i was impressed and wanted to contribute. our goal is to raise enough to buy materials to donate, such as backpacks furnished with items teenagers need. its an ongoing project but all funds raised by this sale will go towards it, and i'll keep everyone updated on my blog as things happen.

- the winning bids will need to pay within 24 hours or we'll just move down to the next bid. who knows, maybe only 5 people will bid. you can bid as many times as you like, if you see your bid outbid.

- the auction will close this Sunday at 5PM PST.

so, that's it, thanks again,

will also update this blog down the road with info on how our charity goal impacted open house ministries, with photos and whatnot. - thanks again!

which have been verified by bryan, just to make sure i'm not making up numbers. thanks for all the bids!
