greetings from the year 2010.
i had the nerve-wracking privilege of doing a series of star wars posters for the alamo drafthouse theater in austin texas, and they're about to be released.

i've had a few emails regarding sales info. so here's all the info that's fit to print. they'll go on sale on friday on mondotees. mondo announces their poster releases via twitter, so if you follow that you'll see the exact time on friday they go up for sale.

edition wise, these shouldn't be super tricky to pick up, the regular versions are editions of 850, the variants are editions of 250. prices and other info can be found here.

unfortunately i won't be selling that many of these at all, so your best bet is to purchase them from alamo. plus it'll be cheaper to purchase them from alamo. plus i won't be selling mine for probably 3 weeks at least.

so, there ya be. i know everyone was hoping i was doing a poster for Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure - perhaps next year.

A: Will you be selling Artist Proofs (ap's)?
Q: yes

A: can i preorder / reserve a copy from you?
Q: no

A: when will you be selling yours?
Q: probably around January 17th or 18th, due to scheduling and vacation stuff. i won't even have copies in hand to sell til after January 10th probably.

A: can i buy a whole set of 3 regular / 3 variants?
Q: probably not. probably just sets of 3 will be sold.

A: will you be selling yours for more than mondotees?
Q: yes. since i have so few to sell, plus since they took awhile to do, probably will be selling them for more.

A: how will you sell yours?
Q: probably via the much despised email lottery, but i will send out an email beforehand with info on that.

A: anything else coming out this year?
Q: nope. that's it. this was what i was working on, and now i'm going to ingest large amounts of horse tranquilizers and crawl under my house and hibernate. or die.

greetings. this past summer ryan august passed away. he was a fellow poster artist and leaves behind a family. figured it'd be nice to do something.

so, i'm preselling some posters, my next 3 alamo posters, plus their variants, with all the proceeds going towards ryan august's family. a total of 6 tstout alamo movie posters. for $550. a lot of money, i know. this is what you'll get. read below for more details.




















FAQ:
question: what are the posters going to be?
answer: whatever the next 3 alamo posters i have come out. in that order. you can't pick and choose, that would be complicated. so just the next 3 to come out. and i'm sure they'll come out within the next 12 months.

question: what if you don't come out with 3 alamo posters with 3 variants this next year?
answer: i will. if they don't have variants (heaven forbid) then you'll get the next alamo poster after that. but if they have variants, you'll get a regular and a variant. the next 3 i do.

question: how much of the money is going towards ryan's family?
answer: 100%.

question: is one of these posters going to be Star Wars, Star Trek, Fast & The Furious 3, etc?
answer: if you expect nothing more than 3 tstout alamo movie-related posters you won't be disappointed. plus 3 variants. i can't say any more than that, so please don't ask. leap of faith!

question: how many sets are you selling?
answer: five.
